    Insole Veteran’s 2 cents

    Long time skater/snowboarder/surfer in his 40s here. I have high arches and most shoes come with pretty flat insoles. The older I get the more important they’ve become to keep my feet (and knees) pain free during sports or even just daily movement. I’ve gone through numerous insoles over the years ranging from expensive custom orthotics to cheap gel insoles from the drug store and everything in-between. Insoles are unique to each person so this is just my 2 cents. Remind insoles fit my feet so well they rival my custom orthotics. The impact resistance is also superior and I can get 4 of them for the price of 1. This is a significant benefit for someone who has more shoes than they care to admit. I love the Medic but the Cush works great for me too, especially in tighter shoes. My go to insoles in the double digit $ range used to be superfeet and powerstep but I’m unlikely to go back. Attached is a picture of the insoles that were good enough (among many) to actually keep in my shoes from first to last. Remind Medic, Remind Cush, Powerstep Bridge, Superfeet Orange, Superfeet Flex.

    The only thing I wished Remind had were simpler colorway options. I know insoles stay mostly hidden but a plain color can work better for certain shoes.

    Best Insoles

    I have tried many, many different types of insoles for skateboarding (old bones, fp insoles, and more). These are by the best in my opinion. I am a bit of a heavier skater at 5'11" and 230lbs. So far, no bruised heels or extra plantar fascia pain AT ALL. I cannot say the same for the other brands I've tried. Sticking with these for sure.
