The Story of Remind Insoles

Remind Insoles paved a new path and filled a much needed void in skateboarding, snowboarding and action sports by introducing and setting a new standard of customizing orthotic insoles. This revolutionary product is the result of 25 plus years passion for skateboarding and snowboarding combined with 30 years experience of bio-mechanical engineering to bring you the highest quality orthotic insole on the market.

As a heavily influenced skateboard and snowboard child of the early 80′s the addiction began… starting out as a team rider and worker at Fobia Skate Shop in Minnesota, Then later making the Journey west to follow the ongoing passion and love for skateboarding and snowboarding. After years of injuries and experimenting with every kind of generic insole and orthotic on the market, the Remind Insole was born. In 2008 Remind Insoles began as a simple solution with one simple goal: to live the dream a little less painfully.

Why Remind Insoles?

Our feet are the foundation and base to everything we do with our body’s. Proper foot and arch support is essential to our body’s mechanical function. When the foot is properly supported and aligned, then the rest of the body will follow into alignment taking the stress off of the joints. When this alignment and comfort is achieved, we are able to perform at higher potentials with less pain, less prone to injury, we will have better balance, control, stability endurance and cushioning. This is the only prefab self-forming orthotic insole that molds specifically to the contours of each individuals foot. Its custom-made orthotic design, is based on your body’s mechanics and movements allowing proper support, alignment and body function.

Defining Insoles

In the 1970s the orthosis was created and intended to mechanically compensate for a pathological condition. From this effort sprung the current movement.

The word Ortho “to Straighten” or “align” is a special device within the medical field dealing with the design, manufacturing and application of Orthoses. An orthorsis is an orthopedic device that supports of corrects the function of a limb or body part. The Purpose is to gain control, support and guidance… To assist body and joint movement… To reduce and distribute weight bearing forces on the body… To otherwise correct the shape and/or function of the body, to provide easier movement capability or reduce pain. The combined disciplines of study within the health and physical sciences; mathematics and materials engineering, gait analysis, anatomy and physiology, biomechanics and psychology contribute to the work of orthotic insoles.
